Creating a startup in 3 days is no easy task. You’ll be bringing together technology, people, ideas, business plans, testing, marketing, design, pitches, and lets not forget fun. Some startups can’t seem to bring all those together within 2 years, we’d like to give you some tips on how to get to the fun part as quickly as possible. As you work on taking your idea from project to startup, here are a few things to keep in mind this Startup Weekend:

1. Shares don’t matter as much as you think this weekend.

2. Avoid the if we “just code” temptation.

3. Debating platforms is best left to philosophers.

4. Startups need cash investment not emotional investment.

5. Stealth mode means talk with everyone all the time.

6. If can’t pivot, you’ve got a problem.
